Til gud ke ladoo or these are described as sesame seeds ladoo with jaggery. instead of jaggery, nolen gud or date palm jaggery also can be used. i made this ladoo on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. i feel makar sankranti celebration is incomplete without these til patti, til ke ladoo and flax seeds poppy seeds chikki.
the good thing is these ladoos are very nutritive. kids and adult both can enjoy these ladoos. Til is consider as anti- inflammatory and a healing condiments. That may be the reason til can be consumed any time in winter.
Til or white sesame seeds are rich source of iron, calcium and many other nutrients.there are variety of til found in market, taste the sesame seeds before buying them. ensure that til isn’t tastes bitter.
Sesame seeds / til – 1 cup
Jaggery / gud – 1 cup
cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Oil / ghee – 3 tsp
METHOD OF PREPARATION ::
Take a wok and dry roast sesame seeds , by stirring continuously.
Roast till the sesame seeds are slightly changes the colour.
Switch off the flame and take out the sesame in a dry , clean bowl.
Take gud in an another pan , when it starts melting add oil and let the gud melts completely.
Stir occasionally and let the gud melts completely.
Then cook for 60 seconds more and add cardamom powder , roasted til and mix it well.
Switch off the flame . transfer this mixture to a plate.
Let it cool a bit.
Grease your hands by applying ghee and make ladoos when the mixture is still warm.
