Jamun cooler / Black Plum cooler

Jamun  or black plum is  popularly known as java plum . This is a seasonal nutritious fruit found in India in between the month of July and September. The fruit is of significant importance in Hindu mythology. That’s why in India, Jamun is referred to as the ‘Fruit of God’. According to hindu mythology during his 14-year exile from Ayodhya, Lord Rama is believed to have eaten several berries and plums including jamun.

Jamun is a delicious tropical plum-like fruit rich in vitamins and minerals. Jamun is loaded with antioxidants and flavonoids essential for a healthy body and mind. The best way to enjoy jamun is to eat raw by sprinkling black salt and chili flakes.

Jamun has a unique colour and taste, also considered as a tasty fruit among all the berries. This ripe fruit has a sweet and tangy explosion of flavor and tastes heavenly that can not be described in words. Lets enjoy the extra ordinary food in the form of a refreshing cooler. The original recipe belong to Suchi Dutta, who shared this recipe in popular food group during an event. She named it Crimson haze, I am changing only the name, keeping the recipe same. I am sure the non berry lovers couldn’t deny to have it.
