Well known green gram spout or green mung spout are very nutritive.  Sprouts are wonder food due to its high nutritional value.

Sprouts are known as health Rejuvenator and mood fresher. Sprouts are rich in fiber, protein, minerals, vitamins and enzymes, that’s why, they are known as miracle food.

Well, It is always advisable to eat raw  sprouts. Eating raw sprouts means taking lots of nutrients at a time. Cooking of sprouts loses the nutritional value. Therefore, cooking, frying and roasting of sprouts should be discouraged.

 I was fed up with salads and having it raw. This recipe is for those who doesn’t wanna to have raw spout. It’s   a different avtar of spout. Not only elders but my 3 year old kid loves it a lot. This dish was a big hit in our family.

 

INGREDIENTS ::

Green gram spouts : 1 cup

Crumble cottage cheese : 1 ½ cup

Chana dal paste – 1/4th cup

Or besan – 5-6 tbsp

Chat masala – ½ tsp

Garam masala – ½ tsp

Green chilli – 1 to 2 no

Finely chopped Onion – 1 & 1/2 tbsp

Garlic pods – 6 to 7 no

Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tsp

Oil – for deep frying

 

METHOD OF PREPARATION ::

Coarsely grind half of spouts, garlic pods, coriander leaves and green chillies .

Don’t make a paste out of it, keep it coarse.

In a mixing bowl add the above paste , crumble paneer,remaining spouts and all the masalas mentioned above.

If you are using besan then keep it in mind that we are adding besan just for binding ,so add besan as it is required.

Heat oil in a wok.

Then shape the fritters as you want.

I make gave then round shapes.

Add a little batter to the oil, to ensure that oil is hot(not smoking hot).

Now start putting fritters one by one and deep fry them till both sides turns golden brown.

Take them out and keep on absorbent paper.

Enjoy with date tamarind chutney.
