Broccoli can provide you with some special cholesterol-lowering benefits if you will cook it by steaming. It also has a strong, positive impact on our body’s detoxification system. It may help us solve our vitamin D metabolism in balance. Broccoli has an unusually strong combination of both Vitamin A and Vitamin K.

Studies have shown that even kids like broccoli and one way to ensure that they enjoy it is to cook it properly by using our Healthy steaming method. Overcooked broccoli lost both the nutrients and flavor.

So include broccoli as one of the cruciferous vegetables you eat on a regular basis .If you are looking a different recipe made out of broccoli, then try this kebab. This is a recipe which is loved by all members of my family.

Broccoli kebabs, which is very tasty and melt in mouth. It is easy to make and will give a nice accompaniment in any party items.


Blanched Broccoli – 2 cups

Grated paneer – 1/4th cup

Boiled potato – 1 medium

Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp

Chopped garlic – 2-3 tbsp

Onion – 1 medium (chopped finely)

Chopped green chillies – 2 tsp

Garam masala – 1 tsp

Amchoor powder – 3 tsp

Coriander powder – 2 tsp

Chat masala – 2 tbsp

Curry powder – 2tsp


Mash the potato and keep aside.

After blanching broccoli strain it well. Not a drop of water should left with it.

Grind it coarsely in a food processor, so that we can get a coarse paste.

Add all other ingredients and make round balls.

Flatten a little and make like small tikkies.

Now in a frying pan, heat refine oil and shallow fry the tikkies till both the sides turn brown in colour.

You can fry in hot tawa by drizzling little oil over ity.

Serve it with green chutney ot date tamarind chutney or simply with tomato ketch up.
