The watermelon has a sweet refreshing flavor. The most interesting fact about watermelon is ,it is considered as both fruit and vegetable. Fruit because it grows from a seed and vegetable because it is a member of the same family as cucumber , pumpkin and squash.
The high water and electrolyte content watermelon, make them ideal as a refreshing summer thrust quenchers. They keep body hydrated, skin fresh and can clean the kidney from toxins.
This is a very interesting smoothie which will give instant freshness . its good for those kids who don’t love watermelon .
other ideas :
- Watermelon juice – 1 ½ cups
- Amul cool – ½ bottle / 100ml
- Sugar – 3 tbsp
(adjust the sugar as per the sweetness of fruit)
- Cardamom – 2 no
- Black salt – a generous pinch
- Few scoops of watermelon for garnishing
METHOD OF PREPARATION ::
Extract the juice from watermelon, pour this juice in a ice trey and freeze it till they turn ice cubes.
While you are ready to prepare smoothie take the watermelons ice cubes from the trey and pour in a blender, add all other ingredients, blend till they turn smooth.
Arrange few watermelon scoops in a wooden toothpick.
In a serving glass pour some watermelon scoops then pour the smoothie.
Place the wooden toothpick arranged with scoops, on the top . serve immediately.
- any juice can be replaced with watermelon juice.
