VIRGIN MANGO MARGARITA

 

Margarita is a Mexican cocktail, and it is the national drink of Mexico. Margarita consist of Tequila , Triple sec, Lemon or Lime juice. Cocktails are alcohol based drink, but why to take cocktails when you can enjoy the same  drink without adding alcohol  to it. This is the virgin version of the classic margarita , with fresh lime juice, orange juice and simple syrup. Basically it is for those who don’t prefer alcohol, like me.

 

 

I love margarita since I was pregnant,  but never tried this with alcohol. I am sure you will be the fan of classic margarita too.

I am sharing a slushy margarita recipe, where you just need to gather the ingredients, blend and serve. It can be prepared before hand and blend when you are ready to serve, that is known as frozen limeade.

It is a tasty treat for kids too, as this is a virgin version and contains fruit pulp too.

 

 

 

How to make the most popular, classy , mocktail ever or  even better !!! simply add fresh delicious, luscious mango puree. You will be amazed to get such incredible taste. Mango flavor provides a tropical exotic taste that blends beautifully.

Of course homemade thing are always better than the things available in markets. It is full of tangy sweet fruits that blend up perfect smooth and takes only few minutes to be ready.

 

 

If you are running out of fresh mangoes then you can make this mocktail with frozen mangoes, but reduce the amount of ice you are using and increase the amount of sugar syrup.

This is the refreshingly tasty mocktail, that I would gladly have anytime. Eventually this is alcohol free and tastes wonderful. Enjoy your mango margarita and fall in love with it .

 

 

INGREDIENTS ::

  • Chopped mangoes – ½ cup
  • Lemon juice – 30 ml
  • Orange juice – 30 ml
  • Sugar syrup – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Ice cubes – ½ cup
  • Lemon flavor soda/ sprite – 1/4th cup

 

For riming the glasses ::

  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Cayenne pepper – 1 tsp
  • Lime wedges – 1

 

METHOD OF PREPARATION ::

For rimming ::      Mix salt and chili powder, set aside.

Rub the glass edge with lime wedges. Turn the glass upside down and dip the rim into the chili salt mixture.

Set the glasses aside.

 

Add all the margarita ingredients to a blender, top  with ice. Blend till it seems creamy and smooth.

Taste to adjust sweetness and add more soda according to your taste.

Pour this drink into chili-salt rimmed glasses and serve immediately.
