Spinach corn oat appe

Spinach is a good source of iron.. And normally kids doesn’t want to have this.. There are few ways to make the spinach a tasty dish. Here is my version of one dish.. The non appe user may deep fry this..

Ingredients ::

  1. potatoes                                    1no       (boiled, peeled)
  2. Oat                                             1/2cup
  3. Boiled corn                              1/4th cup
  4. Spinach                                    a handful   (chopped)
  5. Coriander leaves                    2tbsp   (finely chopped)
  6. Green chilli                             2no      (finely chopped)
  7. Chat masala                            1/2tsp
  8. Amchoor masala                   1/2tsp
  9. Coriander powder                 1tsp
  10. pepper powder                      1/8tsp
  11. Grated ginger                         a little
  12. Salt                                           to taste
  13. oil

 

Method of preparation ::

  1. Mash potatoes well with a help of potato masher.
  2. mix oat, boiled corn with mashed potatoes.
  3. Add spinach, coriander leaves, grated ginger and all the dry masalas.. .Mix everything well. .
  4. Make lemon size balls out of it..
  5. Heat appe pan.
  6. Add 1/4 tsp of oil in each appe area.. Then place the balls.. Cover it for sometime.
  7. keep the flame low.  let the balls to b turns brown in one side.
  8. Drizzle little oil on each appe then turn around..
  9. When both sides are seems brown in colour remove it from appe pam.
  10. Take them out and serve with coriander chutney.
