Stuffed Capsicum / bell peppers stuffed with soya granules

 

 

Stuffed capsicum are also known as Bharwa Shimla mirch or Bharawan Shimla mirch. Capsicum is also known as bell pepper so if you say it stuffed bell pepper then it won’t be wrong. Bell peppers are beautiful bell shaped vegetable. Which is stuffed and then cooked or baked.

 

 

The stuffing  used in making the stuffed capsicums enhances the flavors by giving a distinct twist of its own. You can take any colour capsicum and used anything for stuffing. The filling can be both veg and non veg . so whatever you used the result is always yummy and filling. You have thousand of ways to stuff these peppers.

 

 

The Stuffed capsicums had been on my to-do list for quite long time, but I was a little lazy to cook and click. Finally chosen this when we got our healthy wellthy theme , i.e. vitamin E recipes. Bell peppers or capsicums are rich in vitamin E so set my mind to make stuffed capsicum today.

 

 

This is also a flavorable and exotic dish. They can be a side dish of our mid-day meal or perfect for dinner.  It seems like it took lot of preparation whereas it’s very easy to make and tastes delicious.

Instructions
  1. Soak the keema soy granules with 1/4th tsp of salt in 2 & ½ cup of warm water.
  2. After 5 minutes squeeze the minced soy granules from the water and set aside.
  3. Chop the onions into small pieces.
  4. Chop the tomatoes too.
  5. Wash, pat dry the capsicums , cut its top part .
  6. Using a sharp knife core and carefully deseed them.
  7. Heat oil in a pan fry the onions till they turns soft.
  8. Add ginger garlic paste , salt, turmeric powder and fry it.
  9. Fry till the spices cooked well and leaves side of the pan.
  10. Add chopped tomatoes , mix for few second add minced soybean along with crumbled paneer.
  11. Give a nice mix.
  12. Add all other dry masala, cook for few minute more.
  13. Sprinkle garam masala , mix and switch off the flame.
  14. Preheat the oven at 180c for 10 minutes.
  15. Spoon these stuffing within the peppers.
  16. Arrange these peppers in a baking tray.
  17. Brush the peppers with oil.
  18. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  19. Cool and enjoy.
Recipe Notes
  • you can take soya granules to stuff these bell peppers , and can skip adding paneer.
  • you can use any of your favourite stuffing .
