Paan shots. ..
Even i think why i named this dish paan shots. .only because these are made using paan (bettle leaves)..or served in a small starter glasses ..whatever the name of this dish but these can be served as a starter.
Some use whipping cream or normal cream in the paan shots recipe to give a creamy taste to this dish but i prefer milk .
Reduced milk Will give a creamy taste to this , sounf will enhance the taste and last but not the least gulkand .
Worried about homemade gulkand !!!
Without Gulkand any dish prepared with paan are incomplete.
Don’t you worry, Store brought gulkand can also be used.
Milk – 3 cups
Betel leaves – 5 to 6 no
Gulkand – 2tbsp
Sounf – 1tsp
Sugar – 3 tbsp
METHOD OF PREPARATION ::
Boil milk in a Heavy bottom pan .
stir continuously and reduce the milk to half.
In another pan slightly roast the sounf and make powder.
Wash and Grind the paan leaves with little reduced milk and make a fine paste.
Add gulkand to it and grind again for 10 seconds.
Add this prepared paste to the reduced milk and stir.
Add sounf powder and mix it well with milk mixture.
Ensure that everything is belnd together.
Pour this mixture into individual glasses and cool it , serve.
Refrigerate these for better taste.
