Continuing my mango mania, I am now  sharing  another recipe using mango,  mango mastani. Many of us are very familiar with mango mastani. It is originated in pune. Its taste and look make it very popular all over the India in a short span of time. If you  go to pune, mango mastani is available in each single shop. But now you can enjoy the delicious looking mango mastani at home without being to pune.

Mastani is a historic name and a traditional story is attached with its name. so ask anyone who is from pune, he must be aware of mango mastani. It is nothing but a special mango shake topped with ice cream. Any fruit pulp can be replaced with mango puree. In pune many varieties are prepared using the basic recipe of mastani. use whatever fruit pulp of your choice  , mango mastani is always being a favorite .

The smooth and creamy texture is simply unforgettable and nothing can beat its taste. Mastani is all about  shaking or blending all the ingredients.its so quick to make that you can surprise your guest quickly. It also can be served to kids, and it can be a main attraction in birthday parties and pot lucks.

Its so easy to make that a kid can make it. So lets start making the most delicious mango mastani by mixing fruit pulp, milk , nuts and ice cream.

Instructions
  1. Combine mango puree, sugar, half of dry fruits, cardamom powder and few ice cubes in a blender, blend for 30 second in high speed.
  2. Taste the creamy puree, if the sugar is less add little more sugar.
  3. Continue blending by adding milk , one scoop of ice cream and nutmeg powder .
  4. Pour this into two tall glasses, keeping a little space for ice cream.
  5. Finally add scoop of ice cream, sprinkle nut and place a cherry on the top.
  6. Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes

 

    • Adjust the sugar quantity as per the sweetness of mangoes.
    • Tinned mango puree also can be used.
    • Instead of vanilla ice cream, mango ice cream also can be used, I used both.
    • For topping  tutti frutti, sugar sprinklers can be used.
    • A scoop of ice cream also can be blended with mango milkshake for extra creaminess.
    • Don’t sieve the mixture after blending, else you will lost the creaminess of mastani.
