Gulabjamun is a mouthwatering and yummy sweat dish..its a finger licking and juicy dessert…
Generally Gulabjamun is made of khoya and all purpose flour ,kneaded into a soft dough then shaped into round balls and deep fried till brown.
I prepared these droolworthy gulabjamun using bread and cottage cheese..
This is a easy making dessert recipe, perfect for beginers..
All ingredients are easily availabile at home and it is also easy to make..
The taste of milk powder will enhance the taste of these gulabjamuns,which makes the dessert yummy and nonforgotable.
As the festival season is going on making a sinful dessert will add a variation to the desserts collection.
Bread – 6 to 7 pieces
Paneer – 1/4th cup
Milk power – 2 heaped tbsp
Cornflour – 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 1/2tsp
Milk – 3 to 4 tbsp
For sugar syrup ::
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 1/2 cup
Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp
METHOD OF PREPARATION ::
First of all cut the crust of the bread pieces.
Break into pieces and grind into fine powder.
Pour this powdered bread into a big bowl.
Add cornflour , milk powder and cardamom powder , mix well using your hand.
Then add crumble paneer or cottage cheese and knead well.
Add milk now ..you don’t need to add all the milk at a time, use only to knead the dough.
Pour tbsp of milk and knead, if required add more milk and knead again. .make a soft dough.
Finish the kneading with little oil..so that the dough won’t turns hard.
Now start making sugar syrup.
In a pan mix water and sugar.transfer the pan to the gas flame.
Once this mixture starts boiling add lemon juice and stir .
make one string sugar syrup. And keep aside.
Now in a pan heat sufficient oil for deep frying the balls.
Take the dough and make equal size balls .the balls should be crack free.
Deep fry the balls into golden brown ,
but dont overfry them.
Take out the fried balls into absorbent paper..
Prick the balls with a niddle( which helps to absorb sugar syrup well) then put the balls into sugar syrup for 15 minutes. .
Take those out and enjoy.
